BINGO – Wednesday night the doors open at 4:30pm and the first session starts at 6:00pm. Prizes range from $125 to $250 with a winner take all at the end of the second session. This is a non-smoking game with smoke breaks. All proceeds are used for the services and programs offered at the Senior Center.
BLOOD PRESSURE, SUGAR & OXYGEN – Testing is done the first Wednesday of the month from 9:00-11:00am. If you are having you sugar tested, please fast from the evening before for a more accurate reading. There is a suggested donation of $1.00 for the sugar test to help cover costs. Blood Pressure and Blood Oxygen are checked every Wednesday thereafter from 10:00-11:00am.

Cards – Bridge and Canasta are played Thursdays at 1:00pm.

Craft Group – Group meets Wednesday mornings at 10:00am in the activity room. Holiday gifts are made for Home Delivered Meal clients.
Line Dancing – The Ramblin' Rose Line Dancers meet Monday and Friday afternoons at 1:30pm. (Days may change due to holiday closures as well as inclement weather closure.) Guests and new members are welcome.

Osteoporosis Exercise Class – Participants meet Tuesdays & Thursdays from 10:00-11:00am in the Multipurpose Room. You can join in at any time and work at your own pace.

Photography Club – The group meets on Tuesdays at 9:00am in the meeting room. New members are welcome. Please bring your own camera.
Square Dance – Good Times Square Dance Club meets each Tuesday evening at 7:00pm. New members are welcome.
Tai Chi – This exercise is offered on Mondays and Fridays at 10:00am.

The center has two pool tables available for use during business hours of 8:00am – 4:00pm

COMMUNITY SERVICES:
DEMING GARDEN CLUB – Club meets on a monthly basis at 1:30pm. Contact Keith Schwarzer @ 494-4357.
SANDIA HEARING – Hearing tests conducted at 4:00pm once a month. Contact Paula Rogers @ 1-800-540-5429.
DEMING LUNA COUNTY COMMISSION ON AGING BOARD MEETING – Last Thursday of each month at 4:00pm. Meeting is open to the public.
DR. GILLIS & DR. YU (Podiatrists) – Provide Service at the Center. Please contact them directly at 1-575-525-3980 for an appointment prior to the day that they are scheduled to come to the Center.
AARP 55 ALIVE DEFENSIVE DRIVING COURSE – Classes are held on an as-needed basis. Please contact Jerry Abbey @ 546-8915/543-8916 for details or to enroll.

NM VETERANS – The NM Veterans Service Officer is at the Center the first Thursday of each month. Hours are 8:00am – 11:00am.
DEMING AMATEUR RADIO CLUB – Group meets on the second Saturday of each month at 10:00am. Anyone interested in learning more about or sharing knowledge of ham radios is encouraged to attend.
PC SUGAR COMPUTER CLUB – Group meets on the third Saturday of each month at 9:30am. The Club offers several computer classes and is not restricted to seniors.

WHILE THE SENIOR CENTER PROVIDES SPACE FOR MEDICAL CARE AS A CONVIENCE TO THE COMMUNITY, IT IS NOT AFFILIATED WITH THESE PROVIDERS.













The Deming Luna County Commission on Aging manages the Deming Senior and the Deming Luna County Adult Day Care Facility. The Building was named "The Robert L. Beckett Senior Complex: in honor of former Deming Mayor, Robert Beckett. Mr. Beckett served on the Board of Directors of the Commission on Aging for eight years, three of which he served as Chairman. For many years he has played a critical role in obtaining funding for the services and programs provided to the senior citizens of Luna County, as well as in the massive expansion of the Center performed in 2001/2002. In 2008, Mr. Beckett was named Outstanding Senior Citizen in the state of New Mexico by the Aging and Long Term Service Department.
